Bringing Back an OC - Insane, Yet Sane

About a year ago, I had introduced to you folks a BlazBlue OC who's tale I've had the hardest writing because it's not easy coming up with a story for an OC, who's father is a sadistic bastard with seemingly no origin of existence.

For the longest, I had to sit this OC down and keep him on the pending list, waiting for a confirmation on Terumi's origin or if he'll remain an enigma for us to mold an origin story for. Later on, I saw the leaks for Susano'o, and eventually, I got to learn about what went down in BlazBlue Central Fiction, and well, between my newfound info and having saw some other OCs from other people, I was stumped. I felt like he wouldn't stand out because while I had him as Terumi's kid from the very beginning, it was for the very reason that he'd be a little... bland to some.

But, I really feel like I needed to bring this OC back, since I always wanted to develop a character who's on the verge of insanity, but fights to be seen and accepted as a functioning living being that people could be around. I don't really have anything planned for him now, but I have just enough to repaint the picture. I got down and reworked his moveset, which I used mainly Susano'o as the base for it, and began adding things to what I had on him. Now, I think I'm ready to officially bring him back on stage.

Information

Sector 7's secret joker card for countering the Novus Orbis Librarium's twisted and corrupt plans. He has traveled to many ruins in search of learning a way to cease his corruption, only to be able to put it to a halt. Sometimes cruel, yet kind, he has an interest in things that are not of his world.

Appearance

Zukaji is a young man with a bit of a strong built. He has messy, spiky green hair, yellow eyes, and sharp nails. His right eye is surrounded in black showing only a glowing green circle with what appear to be cracks extending from it, a result of the Arc Jewel "Emerald Green", which got absorbed into him when he touched it. Followed by this are black markings that appear all over his body, although the only visible ones are seen on from under his eyes, around his neck, and from the back of his hands. He wears a yellow hooded cape similar to his father, but with a flame pattern along the bottom of it, a black shirt with a green "3" on the front, black jeans, and two jeweled flowers in his hair.

Personality

People describe Zukaji to be a person with a split personality. On one end, he is kind, often helping people in the lower levels of Kagutsuchi when not in the labs of Sector 7. On the other end, half of his mind is corrupted to insanity, thanks to his father.

Powers & Abilities

As the son of Yūki Terumi/Susano'o, he's already leagues ahead of many fighters. He takes after Susano'o, using his power to it's greatest extent while making his opponents suffer. The Arc Jewel, "Emerald Green", grants him psychic abilities, which he has only shown in his Exceed Accel, Reality Splitter: Mind Shatter.

His drive, 止める, grants him great damage output when using his special attacks, as well as ensuring almost, if not immediate, defeat if he combos into a distortion drive. His overdrive, 消す, makes his fights end quicker, as he gains extra strength, which allows him to deal twice, even thrice, the amount of damage he usually inflicts.

Drive: 止める [Cease] - Damage output increases by 10% for every combo he pulls off in succession. Maxes out to 100%

Overdrive: 消す [Erase] - All moves are boosted to 200% of their current damage output. If he's gained 100% already, this will add up to a 300% boost, which, if quick enough within the time limit of his overdrive, can finish the opponent off.


Special Attacks

Shift Sweeping: Crying Serpent - Slides along the ground, tearing through the ground with his foot.

Blood Spilling: Dead Claws - Swipes above him with a claw trail of dark energy following.

Unholy Beating: Mad Stampede - Repeatedly stomps his opponent into the ground and then kicks them like a can.

Basilisk's Fangs: Twin Emerald Snake Lunge - Lunges forward with both hands covered in dark energy and claws through the opponent.

Burn Erupting: Tower Blaze - Punches the ground erupting dark energy that spikes the opponent.

Hatred Burning: Compressed Grudges of the Condemned - Fires a slow, but powerful ball of dark energy.

Grave Marking: Shackles of Hell - Creates a chain of dark energy and uses it to drag the opponent to the ground. Can be combo'd into Unholy Beating: Mad Stampede, Distortion Drives, or Astral Heat.

Truth Telling: Kusanagi/Susano'o - Switches to using a dark sword for his normal attacks. Use it again to switch back to his hand to hand style.

Distortion Drives

Savage Torturing: Laughs of the Corrupted - Uses all of his special attacks, grinds his foot on the opponent's head, then sweeps them up, back kicks them to the wall, and does a powerful overhead claw attack.

Killing Strike: Blade of Sacrifice - Creates a blade of dark energy, stabs it into the opponent, and swings it upward.

Exceed Accel

Reality Splitter: Mind Shatter - Zukaji lunges forward with an arm reached out, grabs the opponent by their head, and his right eye begins to blaze as the screen goes black. Then, cracks form and break apart as he releases a powerful psychic force into the opponent's mind.

Astral Heat

Nightmare Calamity: Shrieks of the Damned - Starts with a rising sweep with his foot similar to Terumi, then, when he connects, kicks the opponent far away and creates a giant cannon. He charges up and then fires a giant laser beam that obliterates the opponent.

- Zukaji shares his special attack, Burn Erupting: Tower Blaze, with Susano'o

- Although he doesn't necessarily hate his father, he expresses that he wants nothing to do with his father. "If I were to engage in conversation with him, and people learned of this, they would quickly assume I've sided with him, which I have never have, and NEVER WILL."

- In a fight with Hakumen, he says that he respects Hakumen for his "bravery" in donning the "foul suit"
